THE CHU’CH: TOGETHER WE STAND

Chu'ch-1

Who or what is the church and does it serve a purpose?

Many people don’t know.  In some colorful words, Tupac Shakur in an interview, asks some hard questions of the church. (Check it out on youtube!). “If the church took half the money it made and gave it to the community, we would be okay.”  “If they took half the buildings they use to praise God and gave it to [people] who need God, we’d be alright…”  Is Tupac right?

The latest statistics point to the fact that America is two generations away from organized religion.  Many folk don’t consider themselves a member of any local congregation.  “They want Jesus but they don’t want nothing to do with his people.”  Although there are some noticeably bad examples, people have the wrong idea about what, or more precisely, who, the chu’ch is and and its purpose.

 Chu'ch-2

But Paul, lets us know that the chu’ch isn’t a building made of brick and mortar, or a great worship experience, or just another name for organized religion, but that its the community of believers in Jesus; past, present, and future; bonded by Blood, empowered by God, to live abundant lives and change the world — not separate but together, in love and complete unity.  The chu’ch stands together in the face of tremendous opposition from the sin, Satan, and his demons, and comes out victorious through its leader, JESUS.

Join us these next 11 weeks, as we study God’s plan for our lives together and how Jesus equips us with power to change the world.  CHU’CH!

Can’t wait, I know that this will be an eye opening experience.
Also I pray that it is not just Bible Study but a gateway for people to see Christ in all His glory.

Ephesians 1:15-23 is my prayer. That folk can see Jesus for themselves and know him truly to be a liberator. Thanks for your service!

Great, great stuff here. I am encouraged, this is true. The Church is inside of us, the building has the presence of God not because God is there, but because Jesus Christ is among those who gather in His name. The building hold no power, the Helper Christ left for us does! Keep it up! God bless your Bible study I pray all goes well.

P4M P4U Pray for me, I’m praying for you

    In love,
    C.S.
